What does the "1890" in your company name mean? TOP
It was in the early 1890's that caramel corn was first made. And since we started our company in 1990 we decided it would be fitting to honor those "good old days" by including the year 1890 in our name! How long will it take for my package to arrive at its destination? TOP

Since we are a small company and do not mass produce our products, please be aware that we may not be able to make and ship your order immediately after it is placed. However, we make every effort to be as prompt as possible with all order.

Before your order is shipped we make absolutely sure that is the very best in quality. However, if you believe there is a problem with your order, please use our "Contact Us" link to send us an email with your concerns. We will do our very best to remedy the situation.
If for any reason an order must be returned, the Buyer will be responsible for return shipping costs.
How long will my popcorn stay fresh? TOP
Our collectable tins, plastic tubs and our "Stay Fresh" cello bags do a great job at keeping your popcorn fresh for up to a month or even longer. Our five sizes of poly bags will keep your popcorn nice and yummy for several weeks or longer. Much depends on your local conditions, such as heat and humidity. That said, popcorn doesn't really "go bad", it just loses some flavor and gets less crunchy over time. Can you make custom popcorn flavors and colors? TOP
Yes, we sure can! Just send us an email at sales@1890caramelcorn.com detailing what you are looking for. We do have a minimum order for custom flavors depending on the flavor requested. Suggestion: order several of our Fruit Flavored Popcorns and mix them together to match your team colors, etc.! What are the ingredients in your popcorn? TOP

Some of our customers are sensitive to the added ingredients that are found in popcorn popping oil and seasoning salt. We have developed recipes that omit any ingredient that has artificial flavors or colors so that everyone can enjoy our scrumptious Caramel Corn and several other yummy popcorn flavors--AND cotton candy!(see our White, No Flavor Added Cotton Candy)
Note: we make our All Natural products in the same equipment as all of our products. And, although we make great effort to reduce the risk of flavor and/or ingredient transfer, it is important to know that we make no guarantee, expressed or implied, that flavor and/or ingredient transfer will not happen. What's the difference between Candy Floss and Cotton Candy? TOP
Nothing! Candy Floss is simply a term that is also used to describe what is more familiarly known as Cotton Candy. Ok, there's Cotton Candy and Candy Floss...but what is Fairy Floss? TOP
It can be confusing for sure! Fairy Floss is also the same thing as Cotton Candy. The term "Fairy Floss" goes way, way back to when Cotton Candy was first invented in the early 1900's. What is in your "White Cotton Candy"? TOP
We make our White Cotton candy using white, granulated sugar, and nothing else. This is a great alternative for those who are sensitive to artificial flavors and colors. It is important to point out, though, that while we make every effort to reduce or eliminate the risk of flavor transfer, the risk does exist since we use the same machine to make our other flavors. I need a special color of cotton candy. Can you do that? TOP

Both are correct! We just happen to use the Kettle Corn spelling. Is your Kaleidoscope Popcorn just colors or is it flavored? TOP
Each color is a different flavor of popcorn! You'll enjoy strawberry, blue raspberry, grape and banana, to name a few. How fresh is your caramel corn, kettle corn, and cotton candy? TOP
Very! The product you purchase from us is ultra-fresh for several reasons: our volume is high because we not only sell product from our website, we also sell from our "Brick and Mortar" store here in Ferndale every day. Another reason our product is so fresh is that we make our caramel corn, kettle corn, cotton candy and everything else in small batches, one at a time--you won't find any mass production or assembly lines here! What's the difference between Caramel Corn and Kettle Corn? TOP
When we make our Caramel Corn, we caramelize real butter, brown sugar and other fine ingredients to produce a rich, fairly dark and sweet candy coating on the popcorn. Our Kettle Corn, or Kettle Korn, has a lighter and slightly less sweet candy coating on the popcorn along with a sprinkling of just the right amount of salt on top...so Kettle Corn can be described as "salty sweet" popcorn. Is your caramel corn crunchy or chewy? TOP
Crunchy, crunchy, crunchy! Did we mention crunchy? Our caramel corn and other candy glazed popcorn flavors don't stick to your hand or your teeth. That's because of the special way we make our popcorn flavors and also because the product you receive will be super fresh! Your Kettle Corn has more flavor than others I've tried. How come? TOP
Quite frankly, a lot of kettle corn makers are looking to make the highest possible profit from the product they make. To accomplish this, they sometimes put on the lightest possible coating on the popcorn. We do things differently here. We put quality and flavor at the very top of our priority list, way above profits. As a result, you'll find that our Kettle Corn has a heavier coating and, more inportantly, more flavor and "crunchability"! When I send a gift, will my return address be shown? TOP
The recipient of your gift will see our address only, so be sure to fill in the "Gift Message" box on the order page and we'll attach a gift card to your item(s). Why do you sell your cotton candy in tubs and not bags? TOP
We use specially designed tubs insteads of bags because, during shipment, they protect the cotton candy from getting compressed. The tubs also are very air-tight, which keeps the product inside nice and fresh Bags, on the other hand, allow the product to be compressed as it bounces around in the shipping box. What happened to your newsletter, "Here's What's Poppin"? TOP
Sadly, we no longer send out a newsletter. For many years we used a particular newsletter service (we won't mention their name), and they worked great for us. Then, without warning, they ceased operations. We have searched for another company but, to this date, haven't found one suitable for us. Is 1890 Caramel Corn Co. a franchise? TOP
